All plug-ins should be converted to TypeScript. At the same time, any remaining JQuery should be removed in order to be able to work in a more future-proof way. Finally, it should be checked whether existing JavaScript can be removed from existing templates (TypeScript is not possible in templates).
The conversion does not have to take place with the 5.4 release, but can be done step by step.
